This week, Chanticleer Holdings (CEEH) announced they entered into an acquisition deal to buy Hooters Inc., the original parent company of Hooters of America. The deal is valued at $55.1 million and expected to close around July 31, 2008. Founded in 1983, Hooters Inc. developed the brand and concept that became Hooters of America. Hooters Inc. licensed the expansion and development to Neighborhood Restaurants of America in 1984.
